It feels really nice and exciting when old friends finally meet in person after many days of only clicking the like button on each other's Instagram pictures. On Saturday, 15th June 2025, we planned to leave the city and spend time together outdoors, enjoying fresh air and nature.

The plan? A farmhouse for friends gathering Bangalore.

•        This weekend plan was different from the usual ones. It was not the same as going to regular places we normally go to.
•        We didn't go to cafe, so there was no sound of people talking loudly, coffee machines, or clinking cups.
•        We didn’t have to shout over loud music in a bar just to hear each other while talking.
•        It was only our group of friends, having fun together, eating tasty food, enjoying the pool, and relaxing by a bonfire with nice smell of burning wood at night.

How the Plan Started – The Wednesday Spark

This is the moment when the story starts. It is a Wednesday night in the middle of June 2025, and the exact time is 9:45 in the evening. The group chat with our friends had no new messages or activity for several weeks. Nobody was texting or making plans. And we started texting like this:

•       Priya: Guys, we need to meet. Not in some club or pub. Let’s do something outdoors. Something fun.
•        Raju: “Farmhouse? With pool, cricket, BBQ… maybe stay overnight?” within minutes the group exploded.

Karan discovered a place called lush green farmhouse. It is a farmhouse in Bangalore that is perfect for meeting up with friends. The farmhouses located in a quieter, hidden spot in an area called Sarjapur. The farmhouse is 42 KM away from the main part of city. So, it is not too far for a short trip.

The farmhouse for a full day (24 hours) cost a total of 14,500. The total amount was divided equally among 12 friends who came for the trip. When the total was divided, each person only had to pay 1210/-, which made it quite affordable for everyone.

Arrival Day – Escaping the City

Saturday, 15th June 2025 – 9:00 AM

•        Our group began their journey from the Indiranagar area in Bangalore. In 3 cars.

•        For the first 30 min, the traffic was just like you would expect in metro polytan city very busy and noisy.

•        Once we have crossed the city the situations became completely changed, traffic reduced, and the surroundings improved.

•        The outside air became fresher with less pollution.

•        We saw open fields covered in greenery; we stopped near the tea shop for break.

•        We also saw fruit seller along the road, arranging mangoes in tall pyramids shapes to attract customers.

•       At exactly 10:15 in the morning, we arrived at the farmhouse location.

•       There was a big, high gate made of wood.

•       When it opened, we could see a path covered by the shade of coconut trees, making it look cool and pleasant.

•       The person who owns the farmhouse, Mr. Ravi, welcomed us happily with a friendly smile.

•       He also gave each of us a glass of cold lime juice to drink and feel refreshed.

First Impressions – Love at First Sight

•        The swimming pool looked bright and shiny in the sunlight, sparkling with a deep blue colour like a precious navy stone.

•        The grass in the garden was green, healthy and neatly trimmed, A few bean bag chairs were placed here and there for sitting.

•        The beds had clean white sheets, and big French-style windows allowed plenty of sunshine to fill the room.

Let the Games Begin – Lawn Cricket Fever

At 11:30 in the morning, we were ready to play cricket. But instead of wearing cricket clothes, we were casually dresses in shorts and sunglasses. The group was divided into two teams to start playing the game.

•        Priya bowled a hat-trick — she wouldn’t stop celebrating.

We ordered and planned for lunch to be made by a nearby food service and delivered to our location.
