Bangalore farmhouse with fully equipped kitchen

Introduction

Living in Bangalore is busy, loud and tiring. When we take a weekend trip, we don’t just want a different place to stay. We want somethings that feels happy and comfortable even though it is outside the city. A kitchen is often overlooked, but it’s actually one of the most important things when booking a farmhouse.

A Bangalore farmhouse with fully equipped kitchen offers not only relaxation but also the freedom to cook, bond, and share meals in a personal way that restaurants can never repeat.

This blog takes you to real life experience. How I and my friends enjoyed this trip in farmhouse rental. The most important part of this farmhouse is kitchen where everyone connected.

No matter if it’s a short trip with friends, a party with family, or a company outing, the kitchen often helps create the best memories together.

Why the Kitchen Matters in a Farmhouse

Bonding via cooking: Preparing food together is fun, friendly experience that makes bonds stronger.

Budget-friendly meals: Eating out for every meal can get expensive; a kitchen saves costs.

Personalized menu: When you stay at a farmhouse you can make your food at your own taste something special like grilling and enjoying a barbeque with your group.

🌿 Quick Tip: Cooking for Everyone

A farmhouse kitchen is a lifesaver when your group has mixed food habits:

  • ✅ Veg friends can make up their own homely meals.

  • 🍞 Gluten-free eaters can bake or cook their own Healthy diet.

  • 🥗 Health-conscious peoples can stick to light, fresh meals while others enjoy barbeques.

👉 Food should make people feel both happy and safe at the same time.

A Weekend with Friends in Bangalore

The trip happened on Friday especially on July 14, 2025, there were 10 friends in total. They divide themselves in to two cars for the journey. Their destination was Melahalli, which is calm and green place located outside the city. Melahalli is not so far it takes about 40 minutes to reach from the Bangalore city.

The route we took was Sarjapur Road, which connects Whitefield and nearby areas to the countryside. They stopped in between to have snacks, which kept the journey fun and relaxed.

We talked a lot, joked around, and laughed, which created a happy and lively atmosphere inside the cars.

We had booked a farmhouse in Bangalore with modern kitchen facilities through Dozzy, something that felt small in the beginning and later turned in to most special and memorable part of the trip.

Arrival at the Farmhouse

The farmhouse was located very close to the Dommasandra Lake, which is on the outskirts of the Bangalore. The area around the farmhouse had many coconut trees growing, giving it a tropical green look.

There were also big stretches of grass where you could walk, play, or just relax. Together the lake, trees and lawns made the place very special and refreshing to all of us.

The farmhouse has its own swimming pool in the outdoor area. The water in the pool was shinning because of the sunlight was reflecting off the water. This gives the pool a very clean, inviting look, as if it was ready for people to jump in and enjoy.

Once you entered in to the farmhouse the atmosphere of the interiors felt super and comfortable. It is like feeling of homeliness and comfort.

In the living room, there were comfortable sofas or chairs where people could sit together. But even though the living room was nice, everyone attention was on kitchen. This shows that kitchen was probably well design, modern, or important for the group since they were excited about cooking food.

The kitchen surface was polished, smooth and shinning, giving it a clean and modern look. A double-door refrigerator shows it was a big fridge with two doors, like you usually found it in fancy homes.

Farmhouse Have induction and gas stoves you can cook whichever you want, fast and modern with induction or traditional with flame. An oven, toaster or mixer was also available which made the kitchen feel like it had everything to cook not just a simple food, but also baked items. All this together tells us it wasn’t an ordinary, bare kitchen it was much more advanced and thoughtful.

The kitchen was just not only making food, but also felt like a warm, inviting space where people could bond while cooking together. So, it wasn’t just about filling stomachs, but also about creating lasting experiences with friends or family.

Saturday Morning Breakfast – 15th July

  •        Woke up to birds sounds outside and a cool breeze drifting in through the French windows.

  •        Two of us went for swimming and rest took charge of breakfast.

  •        Menu highlights are: Boiled eggs, bread toast, dosa with tomato chutney, and fresh watermelon juice bought from the nearby Sarjapur market.

  •        Morning mistakes in cooking, like burnt bread and funny shaped dosa’s, made everyone laugh. Those laughs created a cheerful vibe that lasted the whole day.

It is like funny way of telling, Lets divide the cooking work, I will handle the dosa and you handle the coffee — Divya (15 July 2025)

Saturday Afternoon Cooking

  •        After a cricket, we divided cooking duties.

  •        Task were divided: chopping vegetables, boiling rice, preparing curries, and frying papads.

  •        The kitchen filled with conversation, music playing on Bluetooth and the smell of spices making us mouthwatering.

  •        Lunch menu: vegetable pulao, paneer butter masala, and cucumber raita.

Saturday Evening Barbeque

  •        At the evening time around 7PM we set a BBQ near the pool side.

  •        Skewers loaded with masala chicken, paneer tikka, and corn on the cob make sizzled sound on the grill.

  •        Friends took turns flipping skewers while others set up plates and mocktails.

  •        With fairy lights hung around the lawn, the BBQ became mini party.

We came for the pool, stayed for the BBQ — Raghav, Poolside Lawn (15 July 2025)

Saturday Late-Night Snacks

  •        My friends swam in the pool, then relaxed around a bonfire while talking. After that even though it was already after midnight, they suddenly felt hungry again.

  •        Quick fixes: masala Maggi, cheese sandwiches, and mugs of hot chocolate.

  •        They were sleepy but still sat together at the dinning table, talking and laughing about funny collage stories, and time passed until 2 AM without them realizing.

Sunday Breakfast – 16th July

A healthier spread this time: idly, vada, sambar, and filter coffee brought from a small Dharshini near Dommasandra.

The kitchen made food preparation easy, and because of that everyone stayed in a good mood.

Filter coffee powder is from chikmagalur, two spoon per tumbler if you like it strong — Manjunath, Dommasandra Circle (16 July 2025).

Sunday Farewell Lunch

  •        Just before leaving the farmhouse, my group cooked a large meal of chicken biryani, enough for everyone to enjoy together, and served it with raita to balance the Flavors.

  •        My friends are working side by side in the kitchen, each doing a small job, and enjoying the process of cooking as a group.

  •        The last meal didn’t just fill our hunger, it felt like a goodbye party that ended the weekend beautifully, leaving them both well fed and emotional happy.

Looking back at our trip, I realize the pool games, cricket matches and the bonfire were all fun. But what stayed with us the most were those moments in the kitchen. Cooking together felt natural, personal and joyous. Every time someone mentions that trip, we don’t talk about pool first, we talk about the food we made and the chaos in the kitchen.

Even in our group chats now, someone always says, “When are we booking the next farmhouse?” And the follow-up is always, “Let’s cook again.” That says everything.
